Area 7 encompasses the rolling forests of far East Texas, and its eastern boundary is the Texas-Louisiana border. While heavily populated, the Piney Woods is home of a large number of 1A to 3A school districts and few large districts.
The goal of Area 7 is to provide resources for both the instructional and tech side of education. In striving to fulfill these goals, Area 7 stages one instructional conference and one conference for the tech side each year.
