The amazing story of Christopher Gardner’s life was published as an autobiography, The Pursuit of Happyness, in 2006, and became a New York Times and Washington Post number one best seller. Gardner was also the inspiration for the movie, The Pursuit of Happyness, released by Columbia Pictures in December 2006, starring Will Smith as Gardner. Conquering grave challenges to become a successful entrepreneur, Gardner is an avid motivational and inspirational speaker, and a passionate philanthropist whose work has been recognized by many esteemed organizations.

Susan Anderson is currently an Instructional Technology Specialist in Arlington, Texas after being a CATE educator for several years. She uses her creativity to inspire teachers to incorporate innovations in technology into the classroom. She and her co-author have written several books on the topic of technology integration.

Janet Corder and Joan Gore

Janet Corder and Joan Gore were classroom teachers assigned to integrate technology at the campus level and then worked at the district level. They have been selected in the Top Twenty at NECC for the past several years for their workshops on professional development.

 

Karen Ferrell

Karen Ferrell’s educational experience spans 29 years as an Instructional Technology Coordinator, and high school geometry, middle school math, and computer literacy teacher. She is co-author of the “Adventures in Mathopolis” series, author of several technology integration books, and recipient of the Texas “Outstanding Instructor of Adult and Community Education” award.


 

Jim Holland

After graduating with a B.S. in Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington, Jim taught junior high science and industrial technology. He now serves the Arlington ISD as an instructional technology specialist. Jim holds an M.S. degree in Computer Education and Cognitive Systems from the University of North Texas.

 

Gaby Krumm

Gaby has a B.A. in Elementary Education and a B.A. in German from the University of Texas at Arlington. She taught kindergarten in Dallas, Texas and fourth grade for 10 years in Arlington, Texas before joining the Arlington ISD Instructional Technology Department in 1996 as an Instructional Technology Specialist. She received her Master of Education from the University of North Texas. 


 

Patsy Lanclos

After more than four decades as an educator, Patsy is a knowledge architect and technology consultant providing professional development, technology planning, and technology assessment for schools and districts nationally and internationally. Patsy received four Computer World-Smithsonian Laureate awards for innovative practices in education.

 

Tammy Worcester

Tammy began her career teaching various grades from kindergarten to middle school. She also served as the technology coordinator for her K-8 school. For the past 12 years, Tammy has worked for ESSDACK, an educational service center, as an Instructional Technology Specialist, providing staff development and training in the area of technology integration.
