I hope you are having wonderfuland successful school year.

For your information here are several things in the works for our Area.

• The combined Area II and Area III Programing Contest was held in Rockport on Feb. 22
• I am still looking for any contacts or information for anyone who wants to head up an Area III Robotics Contest. Contact me at riedeseld@uhv.edu if you have any interest in working on this or if you know of anyone else who may be interested.

I am planning on holding another Area III Technology Conference this year. I am working to hold this on the University of Houston Victoria campus on a Friday, sometime in November, 2008. More information about this is forthcoming as plans get finalized.  Monitor the Area III web page for updated information as it develops and then when everything gets set I will send an e-mail message to Area III TCEA Members. I am looking for presentations for this conference so, if you have a presentation on using technology in the classroom, send that information to me at my university e-mail: riedeseld@uhv.edu.

• Take a look at the advance information for the NECC conference that is coming up soon in San Antonio.  Check out that information on the TCEA website.
• Check your membership renewal and talk to other teachers in your school about renewing or becoming members of this organization
