Area 13

Welcome

As a member of TCEA, you can expect Area 13 to provide  activities that include a high school programming contest, current topical workshops, and support for events in Area 13 districts. We encourage and support collaborative meetings for administrators, technicians and campus/district technology trainers and we frequently partner with our friends in Area 20 because of their close proximity to many of our school districts. Please contact me if I can help support initiatives in your district. If you would like to see a training event offered in Area 13, please let me know.

Area 13 as one of the high TCEA memberships in the state. We are fortunate to have the TCEA conference in Austin each year, and usually have the highest number of attendees.

Area 13 is also a diverse group with urban, suburban and rural districts.  If you have an event you would like to invite others to attend or just share what is happening in your district, send it to me and I can add it to the Area 13 website.

Area 13 is a sponsor of the Austin Student Digital Film Festival. Area 13 partnered with Austin ISD to offer a digital film training in November 2007. This was very successful event with teachers coming from all over Central Texas.

ASDFF is a non-profit, non-competitive film festival.  A prize is awarded to each film that is selected for screening during the event. ASDFF is open to students from all Texas school districts. www.austinschools.org/filmfest .
