Tammy Worcester
The Instructional Technology Specialist at an educational service center in Kansas, Tammy Worcester has more than 20 years of educational experience. She provides staff development and training in technology integration. Her web site, “Tammy’s Technology Tips for Teachers,” www.tammyworcester.com, is a popular online resource for teachers around the world. She has developed software for teachers and she is the author of several best-selling books. Tammy is extremely innovative and resourceful and specializes in finding unique and creative ways to use traditional computer tools in the classroom. She enjoys sharing her ideas with teachers throughout the nation and has a presentation style that can be described as inspiring.
Patrick Crispen
Patrick Crispen is a university Instructional Technology Coordinator in southern California. He was also a Simulations Director for the U.S. Space Camp’s Space Academy. Since 1997, he has been an invited, weekly panelist on a call-in radio show on WGN Radio in Chicago called “Website Wednesday Night.” The show is broadcast to 38 states and most of Canada and simulcast over the Internet. Prior to moving to California, Patrick was the Internet Training Materials Specialist for the Internet Network Information Center (the InterNIC) at Network Solutions where he was the program manager for the internationally acclaimed 15 Minute Series, a series of free PowerPoint-based Internet training presentations.
Marco Torres
Marco Torres, a teacher, media coach, and education technology director for San Fernando High School, is also a filmmaker and photographer. He has been honored locally and internationally for his ability to empower minority students. His students are regularly recruited by some of the nation’s finest universities and businesses. As a teacher and media professional artist, Torres is involved with many professional organizations where he is an advocate for more collaboration between the media arts world and education. He teaches his students to celebrate their culture using multimedia tools and, as a board member of the George Lucas Educational Foundation, he promotes digital technology, change, community, and learning everywhere.
Caleb Schutz Caleb M. Schutz is President of The JASON Project, a nonprofit subsidiary of National Geographic Society. JASON connects students with great explorers and great events to inspire and motivate them to learn science. Its multimedia curricula and professional development programs reach middle-grade students and teachers across the country and around the world. Since joining JASON in 2005, he has led a sweeping redesign of the program. Core curriculum units developed with National Geographic, NASA, and NOAA are aimed squarely at increasing student proficiency. This powerful technology platform enables global collaboration among students, teachers and scientists.
Dr. Howie DiBlasi
Dr. DiBlasi has extensive experience in the education field as a business leader, and as a Technology Director. He has presented at more than 50 conferences, from local to international. His emphasis is on digital technology, multimedia, interactive videoconferencing, and 21st century learning. He is a Master Certified Trainer and has received certification from two national certification organizations. He is a recognized leader in these areas and has extensive hands-on experience in providing presentations around the country.
Pat Schnee Pat Schnee is the Lead Trainer and Curriculum Director for the University of Texas Professional Development Center. She has more than 20 years of broad-based experience encompassing management training, business and program development, operations and staff management, in private, governmental, and nonprofit organizations in both domestic and international markets. Her experience as a professional coach, training film producer, business owner, and business consultant has given her a broad understanding of human behavior and how interaction can affect or influence a positive working environment.
David Jakes David Jakes has spent 44 years in education as a student, teacher, staff developer, and technology coordinator. He has witnessed firsthand the changes in education that educational technology has empowered. Jakes shares this knowledge as a frequent speaker at technology conferences across the United States, as well as in Canada and Europe. His interests in educational technology include digital storytelling, developing online communities of learning through blogging, wiki, and RSS technologies, and developing geography-based learning environments. He currently works with students and teachers on a daily basis in his role as Coordinator of Instructional Technology at Glenbrook South High School in Glenview, Illinois.
