Film Festival
New this year, TCEA is holding a film festival during the 2009 TCEA Convention & Exposition to showcase the increase of digital video in the classroom. We invite you to submit your films to be shared with teachers from across the country in this two-day showcase.
Deadline extended to January 15 (received, not post marked)
- Submission is open to all K-12 students and educators in Texas.
- Students are not allowed to attend the festival. Sponsor attendance is optional, this is a come and go event.
- Suggested categories include documentary, narrative, public service announcements, music videos, computer generated animation, commercials, etc.
Rules:
- Entry must be submitted by an adult sponsor.
- Sponsor can submit up to 7 films.
- There is no entry fee.
- Permission forms must be completed and signed.
- Filmmaker should introduce themselves and their video including why they made it (30 seconds).
- Video format in Quicktime DV on CD or DVD data disk clearly marked with title, running time, school, and grade level.
- Film should be no more than 5 minutes, not including introduction.
- Foreign language films must include English subtitles.
- Films should contain no profanity or objectionable content.
- Music and copyright laws apply.
- Students are not allowed to attend the festival. Sponsor attendance is optional, this is a come and go event.
- Entries will not be returned after the festival and become the physical property of TCEA. TCEA reserves the right to show any video received and does not promise to show all videos.
