About Sessions & Workshops
One-to-One Workshops
At TCEA 2009, all hands-on workshops will be one-to-one, that is one computer for each participant, enhancing the opportunity to learn in a hands-on environment.
TCEA coordinates and hosts workshops at its annual convention to support educators and help them improve education through the use of technology. A committee of TCEA members selects the workshops after careful review. The most effective and proven workshop proposals are chosen and offered at convention. TCEA workshops give participants a chance to learn about technology through interaction with the presenter and the other attendees. They also help educators meet the demands of technology standards.

Workshop Registration
Workshop registration is limited and sells out quickly, so make your selections as soon as possible, and reserve your place in the workshops you want.
Workshop registration deadline is Jan. 9, 2009, the same deadline as for convention registration. Register for workshops online when you register for the convention. After Jan. 9, 2009, workshop registration can only be done on-site beginning Feb. 2, 2009. Workshop payment can be made by check, purchase order, or credit card.
The only way to change a workshop selection is to notify TCEA by e-mailing tceaoffice@tcea.org. It is possible that workshops will be canceled. We will notify you if your chosen workshop has been canceled, so that other arrangements can be made.
Concurrent Sessions
The Texas Computer Education Association coordinates and hosts concurrent presentation sessions at its annual convention to support educators and help them improve education through the use of technology. TCEA sessions give participants a chance to learn about technology through the presentation of innovative ideas and proven practices related to classroom technology integration. You can read the descriptions of the concurrent sessions on our web site. Search by day and time, presenter name, or title. A fuller listing of concurrent sessions with co-presenters, strands, skill level, school level, and summaries will appear in the Convention Final Program. Use this listing of titles and presenters to make preliminary choices that will fit in with your schedule.
Super Sessions
No more complaining about not getting into a session! Most of the concurrent sessions at TCEA 2009 are Super Sessions with room for more than 200. These sessions will be on the fourth level of the convention center.
