Benefits of TCEA Sponsorships

All TCEA 2009 Sponsorship categories except golf sponsorships include the Primary Benefits as outlined below, in addition to the benefits tailored for the sponsorship types. Choose from the sponsorship categories listed that best suit your product and company.

Primary Benefits include:

TCEA 2009 Sponsorship Categories

TCEA offers an array of sponsorships at the 29th annual convention. Each of these includes the Primary Benefits listed above, as well as specific benefits tailored for the sponsorship type. A description of each of the other categories of sponsorships and a list of their benefits follow.

TCEA Corporate Sponsorships

$25,000 (Four Available)

This is the premier package for companies wanting maximum exposure. It provides exclusive marketing benefits such as your company’s logo on the convention bags, promotional materials in the bags, premier signage throughout the convention center, and the opportunity to present sessions. Besides those exclusive benefits, the corporate sponsorship includes promotional benefits that, if purchased individually, could be a significant cost such as full page advertising in the program and TechEdge magazine and electronic lists of registered attendees.

Speaker Sponsorships

All speaker sponsorships include the following benefits:

  • Primary benefits as listed above;
  • A pre-registered attendee list in an electronic format prior to the convention;
  • A final attendee list in electronic format after the convention;
  • Company logo displayed on screens at the event;
  • Introduction at the beginning of session;
  • Opportunity to address the audience for approximately two minutes;

Lisa Ling is a Special Correspondent for The Oprah Winfrey Show and contributor to the Oxygen Network and National Geographic Channel. Prior to her recent globe trotting, Ling was known to millions of Americans as co-host of Barbara Walters’ hit daytime talk show, The View, where she shared no-holds-barred opinions on current events and everyday issues.

Dr. Robert Ballard, Ocean Explorer
Friday, February 6, 11:00 a.m.
Dr. Robert Ballard is Founder and Chairman of The JASON Project, a National Geographic Society Explorer-in-Residence, and professor in the Graduate School of Oceanography at the University of Rhode Island. The discoverer of numerous historic shipwrecks, including R.M.S. Titanic, Bismarck, and PT-109, he is a world-renowned scientist, explorer and author.

Don McMillan, Corporate Comedian
Thursday, February 5, 11:30 a.m.
Don McMillan takes a lighthearted look at the corporate world, computers, technology, and the high-tech lifestyle. He is the only stand-up comedian working who uses PowerPoint to present a one-of-a-kind, multi-media comedy show. He's had numerous television appearances including "The Tonight Show", "The Larry King Show", HBO, Comedy Central, and he won Comedy Grand Champion on Star Search.

High-visibility Sponsorships

Name badge holders w/necklace lanyard

Sponsor’s logo will be printed on badge holders given to approximately 9,000 attendees. Volunteer T-Shirts
$3,000
Over 350 volunteers will become your personal walking billboards. All of them will be wearing a distinctive T-shirt with the company’s logo on it. Also includes Primary Benefits as listed above.

Key Card Sponsorship
$6,000
Attendees staying at the headquarters hotel will enter their sleeping rooms using a hotel key card with your company’s logo. Also includes Primary Benefits as listed above.

Event Sponsorships

Thursday After Dinner Social

Thursday, February 5, 8:00 – 11:00 p.m.
Approximately 1,200 people will attend this festive event with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and live entertainment. This event provides excellent networking opportunities. Benefits include: Primary Benefits as listed above; company logos displayed on screens; the opportunity for company representative to address the audience for several minutes; a pre-registered attendee list in an electronic format prior to the convention; a final attendee list in an electronic format after the convention; and napkins imprinted with the company name at each food and beverage station.

TCEA Tech Crew Dinner

The TCEA Tech Crew handles the set up, networking, and management of computers for sessions, labs, e-mail stations, and registration during the convention. The crew is made up of technology directors, technicians, and technology teachers. TCEA Board/Steering Committee Dinner

TCEA Board/Steering Committee Vice President Dinner

Monday, February 2
This formal event honors TCEA’s Vice President and Chairperson of TCEA 2009. Attending will be TCEA Board Members, Convention Steering Committee, and special guests. These are decision-makers in purchasing technology products and services for their districts. Benefits include: Primary Benefits as listed above; two invitations/tickets to the event; the opportunity to address the group for 10 minutes at the beginning of the dinner; and signage at the event.

TCEA Educator Award’s Ceremony

Tuesday, February 3
Each year, TCEA presents awards and scholarships to technology educators who go above and beyond the call of duty. A special event is held to honor awards finalists and their accomplishments and to announce the winners of seven special educator awards: Classroom Teacher of the Year, Instructional Technology Specialist of the Year, Librarian of the Year, Technical Support Person of the Year, Technology Administrator of the Year, Administrator of the Year, and Superintendent of the Year. Benefits include Primary Benefits as listed above; three tickets to the event; the opportunity to address the group for five minutes; and signage at the event.
  
Robert Knight Golf Tournament, Onion Creek Golf Club

Tuesday Morning, February 3
Join your colleagues for a fun-filled event of networking and socializing at the beautiful Onion Creek Club located near downtown Austin. Benefits include: driving range, green fees, cart fee, and lunch for four golfers. Players may be selected by sponsor or we can assist with arranging a team. In addition, a hole designated with a company identification sign will be provided. Sponsors may provide one or two representatives to distribute promotional materials at their designated hole. Sponsors may provide literature or a giveaway for the players’ welcome gift bags.

TCEA Educational Technology Research Symposium
Exclusive Sponsorship           $2,500

Monday, February 2
Researchers from around the world are invited to present formal papers in educational technology areas. Benefits include Primary Benefits, four registrations for the Symposium, and a registration list of symposium attendees. The sponsor will have the opportunity to address attendees at the opening session.

Equipment (In-Kind) Sponsorships

Depending on the level of sponsorship, Equipment Sponsorship benefits may include:

  • Primary Benefits as listed above
  • A full-page four-color ad in the convention issue of TechEdge magazine
  • A full-page four-color ad in the on-site convention program
  • A pre-registered attendee list in an electronic format prior to the convention
  • A final attendee list in an electronic format after the convention

Computer Sponsorship
Approximately 400 computers are used during the convention for workshop computer labs, e-mail stations, and registration. Multiple sponsorships are available, however exclusive sponsors are preferred.

AV Equipment Sponsors
Approximately 50 data projectors are used during the convention. Multiple sponsorships are available; however an exclusive sponsor is preferred.

Education Sponsorships

The following are sponsorship opportunities for one- and two-day workshops.

Web Mastering Academy (Exclusive Opportunity)
$2,000
Educators of varying responsibilities will participate in learning of web site development and management in this two day workshop. Benefits include: Primary Benefits as listed above; opportunity to address the group for 10 minutes, verbal recognition; signage at the event; and the opportunity to distribute literature and/or product samples to the attendees. 

Technology Coordinators’ Academy

This one-day workshop is designed to help make the technology pieces fit together. Recharge Zone Sponsorship
$500 (three locations available)
Several locations will be available for attendees to take a break from draining their energy…and their batteries. Tables, chairs, and power strips are provided to give attendees the opportunity to rest their feet while they recharge their laptops and cell phones. Meet over 1,500 exhibiting personnel in this quiet oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the show floor. This is a great opportunity to have this lucrative audience see your products and services. Benefits include; Primary Benefits; signage in the lounge.

Conference Beverage Breaks

Attendees will thank you for your generosity. These breaks provide your company with additional visibility among attendees to promote corporate and product awareness for your company. Film Festival Sponsor

This first-time event will reflect the increase of video creation in the classroom and showcase student-made videos. As a sponsor you will receive the opportunity to have either your logo and/or a brief prerecorded message between sets. Event will be ongoing on Wednesday and Thursday. Foyer Banners

TCEA is offering exhibitors the opportunity to advertise in the pre-function areas of the convention center. Banners are strategically placed in the areas with the highest traffic. This enhancement will provide your company with the additional exposure you need to set you above the competition. Fee includes printing and rigging. Graphic must be supplied and formatted.

Column Wraps

Conveniently placed columns provide an opportunity for you to market 360 degrees. Attendees will see your company’s message from every angle as they enter the exhibit hall. Fee includes printing and rigging. Graphic must be supplied and formatted.
