Housing

TCEA 2009 housing will open on Sept. 8. Special discounts will be available at 15 designated convention hotels. Free shuttle service will be provided to hotels not within walking distance of the convention center. These special rates can be obtained by making hotel reservations online on the TCEA web site, www.tcea2009.org. You must make your reservations by the published deadline to qualify for the discounted rates; however, the TCEA room block often sells out before that deadline so make your reservations early.

The list of hotels and instructions on how to secure your hotel reservations will be published in the Advance Program, which will be distributed by mail in late September, and posted on the convention web site.

Transportation and Parking

Airport Transportation

Austin Bergstrom International Airport is 15 minutes from downtown. Taxi rates begin at $17 for one person, one way. Super Shuttle is approximately $10 one way.

Shuttle Service

Shuttle service will be provided between the Austin Convention Center and all convention hotels not within walking distance Monday, Feb. 2 through Friday, Feb. 6. The schedule will be posted on signs in the convention center and hotel lobbies.

Parking

There are two Austin Convention Center parking garages: one at Cesar Chavez and Brazos Streets (entrance on Brazos), and the other garage located between Fourth and Fifth Streets (entrance on Fifth Street). Parking is $7 per vehicle per day.
