Robert E. Knight Professional Scholarship
 |
The Robert E. Knight Professional Scholarship was established in 2007 to honor TCEA’s first Executive Director. Robert Knight first served TCEA as Executive Secretary and then served as Executive Director from 1992 to 1998. He had the vision to recognize that technology would be more and more important in the teaching and learning of our nation’s students. He was very instrumental in TCEA’s growth, both in terms of membership and influence, and was a driving force in making TCEA a success.
These $1,000 scholarships assist practicing educators in achieving a higher education degree in the field of educational technology. The Scholarship recipients are honored during the TCEA Annual Educator Awards Ceremony that takes place during our Annual Convention in February. Past winners include:
2009 – Stephanie Hinshaw Hatten 2008 – Angela Wassenmiller
