Austin, Texas: It was recently announced that Michelle Cooper is being honored as one of Tech & Learning’s Leaders of the Year. The annual award is given to K-12 administrators, technology coordinators, and teachers who use technology in innovative ways to improve teaching and learning. Cooper is invited to attend the awards reception at the ISTE Convention in June.
Cooper serves on the TCEA Board of Directors as one of our 20 area directors, each of whom serve an area that aligns with Texas’ Regional Education Service Centers. She helps meet the needs of educators in Area 7 in East Texas. She also serves as the Library Media Specialist at White Oak Middle School in White Oak, Texas.
“We are so glad Michelle brings her innovative ideas and vision to the TCEA Board, and we congratulate her on winning this award,” said TCEA Executive Director Lori Gracey. “What a very well-deserved honor for her and all of her hard work for the students and staff of Texas!”
