Austin, Texas: The month before their June conference in San Antonio, the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) announced the winners of their 2017 awards. These awards honor educators leading the way to connected learning. This year the winner of the Award for Outstanding Leadership went to Rafranz Davis, who is a valued TCEA member and powerful presenter at past TCEA conventions.
Davis is the executive director of professional and digital learning for Lufkin ISD in Lufkin, Texas. She has built a reputation as an author and a speaker at events throughout the country and is also a constant advocate for technology in education, as well as the inclusion of diverse perspectives.
“We are enormously proud of Rafranz Davis and her accomplishments. There is nobody more deserving of this award,” said TCEA Executive Director Lori Gracey.
TCEA (tcea.org) is an affiliate of ISTE and share their mission of serving educators who seek to transform teaching and learning with the improved use of technology. We are a nonprofit, member-based organization that has supported the use of technology in education for the last 37 years.
