Tip #3 – Keep Up with Google News and Events

This summer, Google featured a series of Google Hangouts (a.k.a. webinars) featuring educational uses of Google Suites. The series continues and you can find dates and information online. One of the links you will find includes the story of a Latin American school:

Schools in Latin America and around the world are searching for ways to take student impact beyond the classroom. In Mexico, we wanted to explore how teachers and students are using technology to empower a rising generation of innovative changemakers—and this week, we’re sharing some of the stories we found. Tune into the hashtag #innovarparami to see how education leaders in Latin America are thinking about innovation.

That’s amazing, isn’t it? Sixth graders building a potable water dispenser.

One final suggestion is to follow the #GoogleEDU Twitter hashtag. What’s great is that you get up-to-date information, as well as being able to see what others are sharing. For example, one awesome find from a two-second scan of the tweets includes Creating Certificates in Google Slides. In the immortal words of The Most Interesting Man, “Keep learning, my friends!”
